[Music Monday] Overdoes 중독 by EXO

Because we all need a earworm to kickstart the week! Plus, Monday is the only day in the week that starts with M. I’ll try to post non-Kpop songs occasionally :P

For the past week, I have been trying and trying to find a song that will get me moving or at least perk me up. But nothing worked. All my usual songs didn’t work! I skip songs after songs after songs and when I thought it’s something that might work? Nope.

So when the EXO’s crisis (read about it here) broke, I started paying attention to their new song. Partly because they keep winning on music shows.

And it’s stuck. Over the weekend, it stuck in my head. Just now, while cleaning the room, I keep going, “Oh…she wants me. Oh…she got me.” and because I dont remember the rest of the lyrics, the phrase just keeps going over and over again.

Good job, EXO. Another earworm created.

When I first saw the MV, I thought the dance was too messy. But after watching their performance, have to say that it’s quite awesome. Though I still prefer Growl :p

Starting to like Baekhyun more than Kai *cough* He is so cheeky in interviews, totally different from on stage. But still! Kai is awesome on stage. The part where his eyes rolled back during the dance? Woah. Just woah.

So yes, that’s it from me! Going to listen to the song a few more times 😀

Sideline: I feel sorry for the fans cos of Kris’ lawsuits. Hopefully they will stay strong, like how ELFs did. Fighting!

oh, that smirk.

totally meepok and bimbo post. hehehe.

I have been fangirl-ing over EXO recently. And to make me really like a pedonoona, I like Kai. Kai who is younger than my brother. Younger than my dance instructor. Younger than Taemin. But really! When he dances, he has this smirk on his face. Totally badass.

I mean, yes. Some say Kai looks like Taemin. But honestly, when Taemin dances, he just has a frown and angry-not-angry look on his face. But Kai’s expression is a cross between a smile, a frown and a I-know-I-am-good-at-this.

Some screenshots ;p

Plus, Kai seems to have a nice personality. He was on “Hello Counsellor” and there’s this girl who was 165cm and 55kg. Normal right? But her sister and mother slams her and criticise her by making snide remarks and calling her all sort of names. They think she’s fat. So during that episode, the host told the girl to do a 360 turn and she was hesitant. At which point, she turned to look at the guests and Kai went, “It’s okay.” which I found quite reassuring! Plus his expression throughout the whole episode was empathetic. Ding ding! ;p

Plus! He has one of my favorite names! 😀

Of course, there are other awesome smirk-ers in K-Pop.

There’s Yunho from TVXQ during last year’s Spectrum performance.

this was my ipod touch's wallpaper for a long time.

this was my ipod touch’s wallpaper for a long time.

Of course, there’s also Heechul from SJ, Key from SHINee and even Sungmin from SJ! But I think Kai has a style of his own. Oh…While searching for Heechul’s smirk, I found a picture of EXO Tao smirking.

well, well.

Tao’s eyebags is really working wonders for him. Hahaha! Of course, there are other K-Pop artists who rock their eyebags *sigh* If only eyebags look so sexy on me as well.

Anyways, leaving you with a video of EXO’s performance! Keep a lookout for Kai *cough cough*

[Music Monday] EXO – Wolf

Because we all need a earworm to kickstart the week! Plus, Monday is the only day in the week that starts with M. I’ll try to post non-Kpop songs occasionally :P

I would introduce you to Growl because that song is easier to listen to and the beat is more mainstream but NAH!

Wolf (known as 늑대와 미녀) is the 2nd(?) official single from EXO. It is the song that really made me realised how different they are to SHINee and Super Junior. The dance is awesome! I can watch it over and over again without getting bored. The official MV is nothing fantastic though. Didn’t like the MV story too. But their live performances are a totally different story.

The song is about how a werewolf has fallen for a girl. His friends are telling him to just bite her but he didn’t want to. The dance kind of showed that. The emotions of the boys is just JJANG! Plus, the moves are so wolf-ish! Especially how they swap groups between the first and second group!

Without further ado, my current earworm.

Hmm. This is slightly different from the other Music Mondays. I can’t say which part of the lyrics I like most because I love the beat and the ‘experience’ of listening/watching. But I did learn some new Korean words from this song.

단순한 – Simple
늑대 – Wolf
정신 – consciousness

When EXO debuted, I couldn’t be bothered with them. They came out at a time when K-Pop groups are popping up almost everyday. Didn’t help that SM Entertainment took super many days to reveal all the members. I couldn’t shake off the similarity the group has with SHINee and Super Junior. But after watching them performed during SMTown SG, I started paying a bit more attention to them. Wolf was the first time I was able to see them as a new group and not as a shadow of SHINee and Super Junior.

So yup! That’s it for Music Monday (: Till next week!
